Productivity Anxiety

Productiveness is a state of mind which gives a sense of achievement when we accomplished our tasks or perform certain activities as its definition is different for everyone. Then how it gets converted into anxiety?

So Productivity plays a two side role in everyone’s life either it will make us anxious about it or it will vanish our all worries. In today’s times when whole world is dealing with this pandemic situation, our mental health as well as other problems are at their peak and it has been more than a year since this pandemic started and till now everyone has their own ways to deal with it. Most of us chooses to be productive every day in order to focus on our goal rather than to pay attention towards worries or anxieties that this pandemic brought to us. While working on this method there is requirement of lot of patience and proper understanding about yourselves then only it will turn out to be constructive in your life otherwise it will also bring worries when we miss one day for not being productive this is what we are calling productivity anxiety.

So now the question came why this anxiety is so common now days?

One reason was pandemic which we have talked about other is social media as everyone at their home so they can’t post pictures related to their new vacation destination and all so now they have started posting pictures related to new skills which they have learnt at their home which seems more fascinating nowadays so when someone who is wasting their time see these posts, he started comparing him with other who is posting such post and then he criticizes himself for not being productive and it will take much time for him to even start something as anxiety will kept eating him up for not being productive earlier and wasted so many days so we have to take care about what we are going to feed our brain because these things will create such feelings it is normal and once these emotion has taken control on our action then it will become our habit and in this phase we can easily distract from our goal so as to keep moving towards our ultimate task we have to consume such material which are our goal oriented then only we will be able to keep ourselves productive and it will be consistent also as that will become your passion and it will not create anxiety due to not being productive in future as you will be doing any task it will come under productive category only because it is aligned with your goal.

Another reason that we attract this anxiety is our hustle culture which lead to procrastination in future so what happen everyone wants to achieve more in less time so to do that they make their time table and in that they write down all their goals in one go which does not seem real also sometimes, thinking that it will all be completed with time but this whole scenario end up doing nothing as you will get anxiety to complete all the things within time limit free of cost so rather than rushing down things you have to take your time in order to make list according to you put down your goals on the basis of priority and also add some time to relax and rejuvenate for next task in your list so that you will not be exhausted while completing your goal in this way you can move forward from procrastination and avoid productivity anxiety.
